January 10th, 2010 - You Are Beloved

God’s love transforms our lives. Amid all our tears and fears, our conflicts and confinements, we remember our baptism in Christ. We hear God call us beloved and feel the Spirit fill our deepest longings. We live to help others know they are so precious in God’s sight, as well.

January 17th, 2010 - Sailing with Jesus

God brings abundant life to all people. Where news of our lives and world is bad, the Spirit moves us to spread hope and promise of God’s favor. As we suffer and rejoice together, even with people who seem foreign, we share Jesus’ excellent way of faith.

January 24, 2010 - Sailing with Jesus

God makes us sail through life. Along our journey we tire and face hard transitions. With Jesus in our boat we cast into depths of life. Like wind filling sails or nets full of fish, God’s Spirit fills us with amazing goodness. We call to others and join the crew of Christ sailing in the service of love that just goes on loving.

January 31, 2010 - Finding a Way In

Jesus heals us with God’s love. It can seem hard to get to Jesus or bring others who need him. With loving friends we find a way through barriers of religious teaching, questions or experience. Jesus’ love fills, forgives and heals our selves, our relationships and our world so we go on our way again in abundant life.
