Our Music Program

Chancel Choir and Handbell Rehearsals
You don’t have to read music to be in choir! We will teach you everything you need to know! We have fun, fellowship, and great music! Questions? Call Dr. Laura Gilbertson.

Choirs
Praising God with music is an integral part of our Christian life. We have four musical groups you can join - Chancel, Handbell and Children’s choir and cherub choir. Newcomers are always welcome for the regular choir season from September through early June and guest members for seasonal events such as special music in Summer, Christmas and Easter. If you are interested, contact choir director or choir members.

Chancel Choir: Wednesdays 7:15 pm
This is the main vocal group for older youth and adult. We sing a wide range of sacred music, from Renaissance to Contemporary, for Sunday services from September to early June and special music events. If you can sing hymns in tune, no further music skills are needed to join us! (Your musical journey will begin here.)

Youth Choir: Wednesdays 4:00-4:45 p.m.
This choir includes children and youth in 2nd through 8th grade. The Youth Choir performs once a month (usually the third Sunday in the month) in church and also on Christmas Eve. No prior music knowledge is needed. We teach children how to read music and sings songs in anticipation of their future leadership in worship.

Cherub Choir: Sundays 11:30-12:00 a.m. (Seasonal)
This choir includes children ages 4-1st grade. The Cherub Choir is a seasonal choir that rehearses for four to six weeks prior to a performance. The choir meets after church on Sundays during coffee hour. The two yearly performances are scheduled during the Christmas and Palm Sunday/Easter seasons.

Handbell Choir:
Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The Handbell Choir plays on the second Sunday of every month, except during the summer. No musical knowledge is necessary to be in this choir. The Handbell Choir uses four octaves of Malmark handbells and five octaves of Malmark Choir Chimes. The choir rings from September through May. We would love to have others share in this great and fun musical experience.
