Sip and Stitch |
| Our Sip & Stitch group meets every Thursday morning from 10:00 to noon in the East Room. We make prayer quilts, and we knit hats, booties, and blankets for babies born at Oaklawn. We also have knitted lap robes for the VA Hospital. We were previously the Crafty Corner group that met to make crafts to supplement our Home Tour craft booth. That, like so many other things, has of course "gone by the wayside." We changed the purpose of our group to meet and make things for others such as the babies at Oaklawn and of course the prayer quilts for members and friends. While we enjoy the fellowship it is more than that. We enjoy making items that will help others and let them know someone cares. |
